At 22 I turned down medical school to become an entrepreneur. Twenty years later, I'm still not sure I had it figured out. I've just never stopped being a student.

At 22 I had a path laid out for me. Medical school, a respected career, a clear future. I walked away from it, and honestly, I didn't have it figured out. I just knew my faith was pulling me somewhere else, and I've never been able to shake the belief that this life is short and what we do with it matters for a lot longer than we can see.
So I became a student. Not of one industry or one skill, but of people. I put myself in rooms with people wiser than me, further along than me, and willing to teach me. Some of those rooms happened to include stages with John Maxwell and Tony Robbins and conversations with Fortune 500 leaders. I didn't earn my way into those rooms by having it all figured out. I earned it by staying humble enough to keep learning.
Everything I share here comes from that posture. I don't have a formula for a meaningful life. What I have is twenty years of paying attention, a faith that keeps me grounded in something bigger than any win or loss, and a genuine desire to pass along what I'm learning along the way.
